DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

1. The image of the Holy Spirt as fire suggests the Spirit may bring us through pain and discomfort – something like a rehabilitation program that leads us toward the path of healing and wholeness. Have you experienced this in your own life? Would you share your experience with the group?

2. The Spirit’s power doesn’t always manifest itself in wild and sensational ways. Sometimes it’s subtle and simple. When (and where) have you seen evidence of the Spirit’s power in your life? In what area(s) of your life do you wish you had more of the Spirit’s power?

3. Identify one practical way you will live in the Holy Spirit more fully as a response to this week’s sermon/series. Write it down, reflect on it, and put it into practice this week. If you are in a group, discuss this with one another.
